The Marx Brothers—Chico, Harpo, Groucho, and Zeppo—was a brother
act of musicians turned movie stars. Their film comedies relied heavily
on sight gags. Their individual stage personalities— Groucho’s wit,
Chico’s Italian accent, and Harpo’s pantomime—have kept audiences
laughing since the 1930s. Their films include Animal Crackers (1930), Duck
Soup (1933), and A Night at the Opera (1935).
